TB-500 is a synthetic analogue of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring peptide found in nearly all human and animal cells. It belongs to a highly conserved family of related molecules that are widely distributed throughout tissues and circulating cells in the body. Functionally, TB-500 interacts with actin, helping regulate its activity by inhibiting polymerisation and acting as an actin-sequestering agent within eukaryotic cells.
